about this blog:

This blog is one that possesses no coherent theme but serves as the plate for my food for thought. And the most wonderful thing about that metaphor is that I do not have to do dishes. I hate dishes...

Another All Nighter...

Finals are just around the corner...
Now for most people that means a lot of studying.
Maybe cramming plus a couple of last papers...
Me???
Well I have the heavy burden of studying for finals, writing two final 8+ page papers, and working hells balls in studio for a final presentation in Design. Couple that with Cad/Viz/Photoshop renderings the next week and a half will be a bitch.

But I made a couple of discoveries past few days.
First off I have discovered this:

Holy goodness they put STRAWBERRY CREME IN BETWEEN OREO COOKIES??? ARE THEY TRYING TO GET ME FAT??? They are limited edition and my roommate brought them from home a long time ago. I looked everywhere but I couldn't find them at any place in philly!!!! I was sad. Then one day my roommates and I went to target to buy "Charlie Wilson's War" on DVD (amazing movie btw) and my roommate thought he saw the special edition Oreos. But alas it was just Oreo "Double Stuffed". Right then there I uttered the words 'I will never ever taste those again.' Then as soon as we turned the corner to the next aisle there they were.... OREO STRAWBERRY MILKSHAKE CREME cookies!!!!! I bought 4 packs. I will eat them until I am sick of them.

Also another food discovery. Well actually its beverage related. Dunkin' Donuts 710 ml extra large coffee with creme no sugar will absolutely make you hyper as a muthafucka. No fuckin' lie.

And the fact that the coffee actually kept me awake was amazing. Not the fact that I was going without sleep, but because of what I was doing. I had to write a 8 page paper on the 1947 United Nations general Assembly Resolution 181 on the Future Government of Palestine. Yeaaaaaahhhh. Sounds fun doesnt it????? Heres a LINK to the actual document. Its a good read.... cough cough... NOT... cough cough...

And lastly Lyfe Jennings came out with his latest LP yesterday without much fanfare. Its entitled "CHANGE" and even though it does not contain any classic material overall as a composition I do believe it is his strongest album as a whole. I cant stress how much I admire Lyfe Jennings. His music has so much emotion and content while still maintaining his lyrical mastery and overall flow. Most people in the music industry are so fake. Just in it for the money and they all sound the same. Some people have the incredible gift of using music as a medium of communicating emotions that have no strength on just words alone. I will be reviewing his album very soon and please go out and support good music, you will not be disappointed. The coffee I drank combined with listening to his album all night on repeat had writing that paper very much less painful.

Just a idea...

For those of you for whom 'hip hop' is not the preferred cup of tea...
Please go listen to an album by The Roots before you make any kind of judgment on the genre that is 'hip-hop'.

PLEASE.

Food for Thought...

There was once a zen master and a boy that lived in a village...
One day the boy got a horse for his birthday.
Everyone in the village said, "Oh, how nice."

The zen master replied, "We'll see."

Then one day the boy fell off the horse and broke his leg.
The village all said, "Oh, how horrible."

The zen master replied, "We'll see."

Then one day a war broke out in the country and all able bodied young men were drafted to serve in the army. But since the boy could not walk he was not drafted.
The village said, "Oh how lucky is he!"

The zen master replied, "We'll see."

We'll see....

Apples and Oranges...

Girls are like oranges. But the thing is us guys dont really care for oranges. What we like is orange juice. So we never realize how amazing oranges taste; we just go straight for the orange juice. Orange juice just isnt that good. Other people have already squeezed it, taken away the pulp, added sugar to it, and some orange juice even comes from concentrate. Hell, they even make orange soda, which isnt oranges at all; they just take orange flavor and add it with carbonated water. Although oranges are the best thing in the whole fucking world guys dont realize it; they're too busy with orange juice and orange soda. And when a guy does reach for a orange and takes a bite he's met with the thick and horrible skin that covers it, and trust me, it tastes HORRIBLE. So they just go back to juice and soda. But if a guy makes the effort and takes the initiative to peel the tough skin away he will realizes that oranges are way better than orange juice or orange soda.

Ok so if you read this and said to yourself: WAT THE FUCK IS HE TALKING ABOUT?!?!?! its ok, that just means u are normal. I came up with this whole "orange methaphor" while I was celebrating 4/20. If you dont know what 4/20, its a good thing you dont. My "orange metaphor" story was based on this anecdote:

"Girls are like apples on trees. The best ones are at the top of the tree. The boys dont want to reach for the good ones because they are afraid of falling and getting hurt. Instead, they get the rotten apples from the ground that arent as good, but easy. So the apples up top think something wrong with them when in reality they're amazing. They just have to wait for the right boy to come along, the one who's brave enough to climb all the way to the top of the tree."

And I came up with another story involving bananas but I shall spare you all from that one...

Dear Diary????

OK i've decided I aint doing no more serious entries anymore. This is just gonna be personal shit now. With that said I went to the Mets vs. Phillies game yesterday. Santana was pitching against Cole Hamels. Santana dominated striking out 10 and giving up only 4 hits. But he ran out of gas at the 7 gave up two hits then FUCKING Aaron Heliman came in and gave up a 3 run homer. But we still won so it was all good.

We sat in the 400s section behind home plate. And DAMN some of the Phillies fans were assholes. They were cursing out of their minds and I was the brunt of many of them as I was rocking my Mets fitted. And to take the cake this middle aged guy brought two kids one had a phillies shirt on and the other one had a Mets shirt on. So the middle aged guy left kinda early- 7th inning I think - and those dumabasses start cursing at the little kids!!! They were like 5, 6 years old! Calling the kid wearing the Mets shirt a pussy and a retard. THIS KID WAS 6 YEARS OLD!!!!! Damn, phillies fans... DAMN...

And it was the second time I've been in Citizens Bank Ballpark and its a amazing place.

And a small world incident happened, a girl that i always hang out with in philly lives like a few blocks away from the frat house that my friends are in, at Stonybrook. And sorry anrong for calling you at like 3:30am about that shit, lol. But yea its a small world and that 6 degrees of separation is really true.

And my wifey is coming out with a new movie called the "Mellows" co-starring Lee Jeong-jae with filming already started.

Ok thats it, and from now till monday night i will not be sleeping because my midcrit is monday night and i havent done much.

Gone Fishing...

As you have noticed (most likely not),I haven't posted anything relevant in years... thats because I got this "HOW TO BE NINJA" DVD in the mail the other day. I've been watching it religiously and I think I got it down pretty much down pat. It took a lot of practice and dedication hence the lack of posts.

ummm... actually its because of finals and design projects. My concept is pretty crazy and when a single drawing takes 5 hours things get frustrating. But my final outcome will be RIIIIIDICULOUS- in a good way. We are designing a Music center in Old City of Philadelphia. And my concept is "Architecture is frozen music" Its a quote by some dead guy. Its coming out well. If I dont get a A i will be EXTREMELY pissed. Im really motivated right now and I hope it lasts till I finish.

BTW
what other major other than architecture can you say that finals last for 4 FREAKIN' WEEKS?!?!?!? I shall think of it as a badge of honor.

Here is a glimpse of conceptual stuff:

Stressed, but Im too fly to be Depressed...

I hate school. Ugh. No time to breathe. No time to slow down and relax. Seems like college is supposed to be a time where you have fun and you look back later on it like "damn i had so much fun in college"... ehhhhh NO. I feel like things are passing me by; an absence of fun times with friends, relationships I cant pursue, books I have no time to read, money Im not making, beers im not drinking, good ish im not smoking ... all i got is my drafting supplies and college bills. What am I supposed to do, except hope it gets better???

BTW

Im not a racist or sexist but I do play percentages and ratios.
With that in mind I know 8 Turkish people and I absolutely hate 1 of them. So 1 out of 8 Turkish people. Thats about 12%. If we further investigate this it means I hate 1 out of 2 Turkish people over the age of 21. That means I am racist against 50% of all Turkish adults that I know. Investigated further, I hate 1 out of 1 (100%) of all Turkish FEMALES over the age of 21. If we go into this even FURTHER I prob hate 1,000,000% of all TURKISH FEMALE DESIGN PROFESSORS.
I think that makes me a pretty racist and sexist person.

FUCK female Turkish design professors...
Actually I apologize to any Turkish individual let me rephrase...
I hate MY female Turkish design professor.
FUCK HER
